Found made its European premiere in Brussels on April 4th, 2013, as an official selection of the 31st Annual Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. Composer Bing Satellites was in attendance at the late-night screening, which took place at the Centre for Fine Arts. Four hundred people turned out for the screening. From the festival program:
Found is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems of the indie film industry! Clever, shocking and disturbing, Scott Schirmer’s film is a love letter to the horror genre. Unanimously acclaimed in the US, Found goes beyond the roots of graphic violence and steps in the footprints of Jack Ketchum!
For its 31st year, BIFFF welcomed special guests Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, Interview with the Vampire) and Dario Argento (Suspiria, Opera). Other films that screened at the festival included Excision, American Mary, Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral, Jennifer Lynch’s Chained, Argento’s Dracula 3D, John Dies at the End, Stephanie Meyer’s The Host, Mama, Maniac, and Thale.
